Masticatory Muscle Myositis - personal experiences

Masticatory Muscle Myositis experience by - RaShann

I have a 4 yr old boxer that was diagnosed with MMM about 3 weeks ago. We had him on 80 mg of Pred. for a week, which as working well and then she dropped him down to 40 mg daily. Too much too soon. He has gotten very bad the last three days. Cannot close mouth, eyes bulging, muscle mass gone. I have started him back on the higher doses and will decrease to 60 mg after a few days. I also ordered three supplements I read about that was giving to dogs with this along with Prednisone: Standard Process Canine Hepatic Support, 4Life Transfer Factor Classic, and Standard Process Ferrofood. I am praying that these along with the Prednisone will bring my boy back around. Right now I am really scared he isn't going to make it.
