General information on Tuberculosis
Tuberculosis is mainly a lung infection, however, it can affect other organs. Dogs may infect humans and vice versa.
Symptoms of Tuberculosis
The symptoms of tuberculosis are chronic cough, labored breathing, shortness of breath, and bloody phlegm.
Treatments for Tuberculosis
If you suspect tuberculosis seek veterinarian care immediately. Typically, an X-ray is taken to make the diagnosis. Antibiotics can sometimes help. Since the treatment is uncertain and tuberculosis is highly contagious to humans, euthanasia may be the wisest choice.

My Pekingese 6 week puppy started opening and then closing her mouth like she's trying to breathe thru her mouth. The only other symptom is she gets constipated. There's got to be something that can help her breathe easier...she has very small pin size hole openings in her nose to breathe thru.
