Diabetes - dog health experiences

Diabetes dog experience
Dog Owner:
Janice
Location: Williamsburg, Va. USA

Our old girl TaraLee will be 14 years old Nov 21st. She has been diabetic now for 7 years. She is a Min Pin and we have been truly blessed to have her for as long as we have.
She is totally blind now and almost deaf ... joint and hip problems. Still wags that nub tail though. Had blood work done Oct 25 .... Dr. said she was seeing signs on kidney failure as liver issues. I had the blood work done because she had started drinking lots of water and as soon as she drank it, she would throw it back up. So sad. God give me the strength, when the time gets closer to have her put down. TaraLee was born on my birthday and given to me for Christmas from my husband ...

Very Sad :(

Our dog Foxy is a Corgy. Last year we noticed she was
urinating more frequently, and took her to the vet. He
told us that she had diabetes, and put her on insulin.
She is almost nearly blind now, but adjusting quite well.
We were fearful of surgery because she is eleven years old.
She is a happy, loving dog and we are blessed.
