Blindness Or Impaired Vision - dog health experiences

Blindness Or Impaired Vision dog experience
Dog Owner:
Location: Nashville, Tennessee, U.S.A

We got my dog off the side of the road when he was a puppy. Maybe about a year old. And we picked up his "brother" also. Well recently the brother died from unknown causes but since about 5 or 6 years ago my dog Red has been having this swelling over near his eye. We think it's because he usually on a monthly basis got in fights with our other male dogs. But now his eye has become covered and kinda a filmy pearlish color. Now Red looks like the hunch back of notre dame, but only in the face. I'm kinda worried about his other eye because now it's becoming a pearlish color. If any one has any information to help..... Thank you.

A branch hit my dog in the eye. I had to drive to UC davis where they said the eye would probably need to be removed. Three days later after the weekend the swelling went down and a local vet said they could save the eye. He stiched the third eyelid over the eye. 9 days later the stich came lose or ripped his third eyelid, not sure. I took him to the same vet with a different doctor and he stiched the main eyelid closed and wants to see him in a week. There is frequent discharge and now his other eye's third eyelid is acting haywire covering half of his eye. I am worried:(
